Through the suggestion of Dr. Richard L. Hendry, a member of the
faculty of that institution, Westminster College is asking the aid of the ASA in finding a person to teach the first course in physical chemistry and
another course, probably an advanced course in inorganic or instrumental
analysis. They would prefer applicants with PhDs, but would consider
those with advanced training in that area working towards an advanced degree.
Westminster is a cc-educational, liberal arts, church-related
college of about 1100 undergraduates,,' It is affiliated with the United
Presbyterian Church., U.S.A. Anyone interested should communication with Dr. He D.

Mr. Chmont Schifreen an Electrical Engineer with the Philadelphia
Electric Company, was the center of a discussion of dreams at the St. Paul
Convention in August* Not the subject of the dreams, mind you, but whether
one dreams in color or gorgeous monochrom! How about this? Have you ever
thought about it? It has boon the subject of serious scientific inquiry
as reported in a current issue of Science Subjects forgot details quickly,
but by watching electrooncophalogrpiv indicators of dreaming activity.
investigators have obtained some interesting information by waking the
subject and having him record his dreams on a tape recorder.

AIBS CORVALLIS MEETING
Many ASS members attended the meeting of the American Institute
of Biological Sciences held at Corvallis, Oregon., August 26-31. Linwood E. Roth,, Associate Professor of Biophysics, Iowa Stato
University and Dr. Donald S. Robertson, Assistant Professor of Genetics at Iowa State
University presented papers.
Leaving AIBS, but sticking with Dr. Roth., we also learn that he
presented a paper with Re Ae Jenkins, at the 5th International Congress of Electron
Microscopy, Philadelphia, Sept. 2-5.
HERN EDITS BBbb.
Dr. Walter R, Hearn, Associate Professor of Biochemistry of Iowa
State University has a spare time job that has a familiar ring to those
associated with ASA NEWS; he edits a paper., Biochemistry and Biophysics Bulletin Board for the department.
Beginning it's second year, the weekly
servos as clearing house of information, misinformation, gossip, job
opportunities and scuttlebutt to staff and students of the B&B Department,
recent alumni, prospective students and an ill-defined mass of heterogeneity such as ASA
NEWS editors. As every parent knows that two-year
olds are the 'Worst 'Kind, we shall be very understanding of Walt during
this critical period,
Just to show to what depths of degradation such a rag can stoop,
hare is the headline of a story of a lady protozoologist from Calcutta: A SARI SITUATION.
HUNSUCKER ON TOP OF THE WORLD
Robert D. Hunsucker is still engaged in radio propagation studies
at the Geophysical Institute of the University of Alaska at College, Alaska.
A recent paper resulting from his work entitled "Auroral sporadic-E
ionization"
appeared in the Journal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards
with Liof Ovvron as co-author. This work correlates the ionosphere condition
with auroral and magnetic conditions. Wouldn't you just guess that his
hobby is photographing aurora? The January 1963 Alaska Sportsman magazine
will carry one of his photographs on the cover. Incidently it is noticed
that Bob is now Assistant Professor of Geophysics.
