I.O.U. — Currently, this page is extremely rough and incomplete; soon, by mid-August 2008, there will be more here and it will be better.
Actions of ASA: This
page will describe papers (in our journal) and talks (in our meetings)
and actions (in our lives) about caring for what God has created. It
will include:
a recent call for thorough study
and quick yet prudent action to care for the creation, as part of a group
gathered by the National
Association of Evangelicals and scientists at the Center for Health and the
Global Environment at Harvard Medical School (press
release and consensus
statement) that included Randy Isaac, the executive director of ASA;
annual
meetings of ASA with "creation care" themes (1993, 2005,
2006) or sub-themes (2000, 2001, 2003, 2007, 2008,...);
and more. (currently
I'm more familiar with activities since the early-1990s, but we'll also look
at earlier times, especially since 1970)
There is also a web-resource page — with links to 57 categorized "stewardship" pages from the journal of ASA, Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith — that will make it easier for reviewers to find pages and decide which ones we should use (along with non-PSCF pages) in this "stewardship" part of the website.
