To help you find a roommate, if you want to split the cost of a room, you can check "please match me with a roommate" in the online ASA Registration Form (online or printable-PDF) and use our Travel-and-Roommate Board which has "sharing a room" boards for Men and Women;  it doesn't require logging-on, so it's fast and easy to READ and WRITE comments.
For a previous conference the following comment was part of my "roommate request" on the board, and the basic idea seems relevant for everyone so here it is:  "To avoid waking you at night or in the morning, I'll minimize noise by closing doors (and drawers) quietly, etc, and won't turn on lights (I use an LED mini-flashlight), and I hope you will be similarly thoughtful."
