Directions for riding Metro rail
from DCA
(Ronald Reagan Airport)
to CUA
(Catholic University of America):

PRINT THESE DIRECTIONS AND PUT THEM IN YOUR WALLET.
(editor's note: These directions are provided by Paul Arveson, who wants to make your trip a little easier.)

From the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) main terminal, there are walkways to the Metro platform at each end of the terminal.  They are on the upper level of the terminal.

Purchase a Metro fare card for at least $3.25 (one-way fare).  Then enter and go to the left escalator, which is marked:
Yellow Line — To Mt. Vernon Sq/7th St. Convention Center OR Ft. Totten
Blue Line — To Largo Town Center

Both Yellow Line and Blue Line trains arrive at this platform. The Yellow Line trip is shorter (but dirtier).

If you are on a Blue Line train, travel to Metro Center.
If you are on a Yellow Line train, travel to Gallery Place.

When you exit, you will need to go upstairs on the escalator marked "Glenmont", not "Shady Grove".

This will get you to the Red Line train to "Brookland-CUA". (CUA means Catholic University of America, your destination).

Exit the train at the Brookland-CUA stop, then go down the platform and follow the signs to the left exit tunnel.  When outside, turn right and walk north on the sidwalk along John McCormack Road to Flather Hall, at the northern end of the campus.  This is where you will find the ASA Registration desk.

This walking route is the blue line on the campus map included in your packet of materials.
